[Main Ingredient] Flufenicol
This product is a light yellow clear liquid.
[Pharmacological Effects] Pharmacodynamic Flubfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amides and a bacteriostasis agent. It acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria. Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocide and Actinobacter porcine pleural pneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfenicol. In vitro, florfenicol showed similar or stronger antimicrobial activity to sulfomycin against many microorganisms, and some bacteria resistant to amides due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be sensitive to florfenicol.
It is mainly used for bacterial diseases of pig, chicken and fish caused by sensitive bacteria. For example, Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacter pleura pneumoniae caused cattle and pigs respiratory diseases. Salmonella caused by typhoid and paratyphoid, chicken cholera, chicken dysentery, colibacillosis, etc. Fish pasteurella, vibrio, staphylococcus aureus, hydrophila, enteritis bacteria caused by fish bacterial septicemia, enteritis, skin disease, etc..
Pharmacokinetics Flufenicol is absorbed rapidly after internal administration. The therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood approximately 1 hour later and the peak plasma concentration can be reached in 1 to 3 hours. The bioavailability is more than 80%. Flufenicol is widely distributed in animals and can cross the blood-brain barrier. Mainly in the original form from the urine, a small amount of excretion with the stool.
[Drug Interaction] (1) Macrolides and lincomines have the same target as this product, both of which bind to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosome, and can produce mutual antagonistic effects when combined.
(2) It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycosides. But it has not yet been shown in animals.
[Role and use] Amide alcohol antibiotics. For Pasteurella and E. coli infections.
[Usage and Dosage] Based on this product. Mixed drinking: 1 to 1.5ml chicken for each 1L water. Continue to use for 5 days.
